I have expertise  in the following areas:

Coaching for Confidence

Confidence is enormously attractive.

Speakers who are confident build confidence in their listeners. Confidence is not egotism or arrogance. Confidence is a prerequisite for effective communication and leadership skill development. An effective speaker leaves their audiences feeling more confident about themselves. My presentations are intended for any organizations which are focused on improving personal skills and serving others in ways that are meaningful at the deepest levels of self actualization. My work is based upon 35 years of experience in education and more than 60 years of life experience. The topics are relevant to school, church, community and corporate groups today, and take into full consideration the many challenges of leading and serving in a complex society.

Storytelling

Stories make your content memorable.

Stories from personal experience or wisdom from the ages connect people from all walks of life. Business leaders need to be able to tell stories that make their content relevant. Effective trainers are the ones who can punctuate their content with stories. Learn how to build a story teller's library of material you can use in your everyday life.

Seminar Design and Delivery

Effective seminars are well designed and delivered.

Let me help you design your training programs around your learning objectives and desired outcomes. I will train you or your staff to deliver the material effectively. I can also deliver the material for you.

Communication skills

Communication skill...

...is much more than just talking. Effective communication is a dialogue, even if only one person is speaking. The speaker creates images in the mind of the listener that are as real and vivid as an actual experience. This is true, whether the information is related to sales, instruction, entertainment, motivation, inspiration, or any number of other specific purposes.

Speaking is only one side of the communications equation. Effective listening skills and the ability to offer useful feedback are just as important. Affirming a speaker's strengths and offering suggestions in any area which could be improved has been proven invaluable in business settings as well as other educational environments.

Leadership skills

Leadership skill...

...is not just telling people what to do. Leadership has to do with the ability to delegate, to manage time, to engage in critical thinking, to give feedback, to plan, to organize, to facilitate, to motivate, to mentor and to build teams among other skills. Leadership demands both vision and the ability to break a vision down into manageable benchmarks.

Keynote and After Dinner

Keynote and after dinner talks...

...can cement important concepts for your staff.

Motivation

Motivation is more than...

...just convincing people they "can do it." In fact, research has shown that we have emotional "basic needs" just as much as we have physical needs. In the simplest terms, they can be categorized as recognition, relationship, and relevance. Recognition in various forms has merit, but the most powerful form of recognition is that which allows us to view ourselves differently. Perceiving ourselves as others perceive us is the first step in the development of our self awareness and recognition.

Relationship is another basic hunger that is highly motivating. Even as children we yearn for fulfilling relationships and will do almost anything to get them. Studies have shown
